Manus Island detainee awarded prominent human rights accolade

Abdul Aziz Muhamat, a refugee from Darfur, Sudan who was detained on Manus Island since October 2013 along with hundreds of other refugees and asylum seekers, was recently awarded the prestigious 2019 Martin Ennals Award for his work as a refugee rights advocate.
