Do you have a great idea for a TV series? You should begin this course with the germ of an idea for a TV drama or comedy series – one that has not yet been developed into a concept or script, to work on during the course.
You will not have completed scripts by the end of this course – the focus is on learning how to develop an idea that has a strong story engine, and characters that can keep a series alive and engaging.
This is an introductory course. You do not need to have any previous experience but a passion for writing is a must. You will need to dedicate at least 10 hours per week to self-directed study, plus a 2-hour live video chat session, hosted on Zoom. You will also be required to devote time to TV viewing and the production of written assignments.
All text based chat sessions are recorded and transcripts available once the session has finished.
