South Coast Writers Centre

Anthology Open for Submissions

The SCWC has a long history of supporting and producing new work: the legacy of that work will be collected in our new curated anthology of members’ writing.

The theme of the volume is ‘legacies’; we encourage writers to interpret this theme in a broad and creative way.

  • Works can only be submitted by current members; however, the SCWC is open to new memberships at any time.

  • An entry fee of $10 must be paid with each submitted piece of writing.

  • Entries close 30th June.

  • A submission is composed of one poem or one short piece of fiction or creative non-fiction (up to 3000 words).

  • This anthology will be published in late 2021. All published writers will receive a copy of the anthology, a publication fee of $20, and an invitation to attend the launch of the publication.

  • All published writers will retain the copyright over their work while assigning to the SCWC a limited license to publish the work.

  • All entries will be reviewed by the editorial panel including SCWC Director Sarah Nicholson and Editorial Assistant Lore White. Successful entries will be notified by email and names will be published on our website by 30th August 2021.
