From Chaucer’s The Pardoner’s Tale to Peter Carey’s The Fat Man in History, the temptations and risks of excess have long been a subject for writers.  

Now the health industry is planning on taking advantage of the skills of creative writers with a $100,000 residence fellowship to tempt a writer to join the fight against obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
