Rare political outing at writers’ conference

About 200 authors, illustrators and book industry professionals are expected at the conference in Sydney next Friday 11 & Saturday 12 September to discuss the latest ideas on authors’ rights, role and place in a time of constant change.

The Minister for the Arts Senator George Brandis, Shadow Minister Mark Dreyfus and Greens Arts spokesman Adam Bandt will give their views on books and writing and discuss what they are proposing in support of authors over the next period.
