The Australian Society of Authors (ASA) announced Bent triumphant in a record application year.

Applications for the 2013 Ray Koppe Young Writers’ Residency were the highest received since the Residency was established in 2011.

The ASA states ‘Applicants located in every state and territory in Australia, with the exception of Tasmania, applied for the program. The diversity of submissions emphasised the broad interests and concerns of young writers.’
