Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival

Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival submissions closing soon

The Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival celebrates films that are thought-provoking, uplifting and inspire audiences. Held in the historic Queensland town of Gympie, the program features short films from top international festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, Berlinale and Venice, as well as supporting emerging Australian filmmakers and film students.

This year’s theme is ‘discovery’ - inspired by Gympie’s rich history of gold mining, which began 150 years ago. The program also has a special focus on films that shine a light on sidelined topics, peoples or regions of the world.

Submissions for Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival are closing at the end of July. If selected, your film will screen amongst 150 of the highest calibre short films from all over the world and compete for the $10,000 prize pool, including a Best Short Film cash prize of $5,000.

Submissions via film freeway close 31st July
